BIRTH STORY

I went for the scheduled induction on Friday 25th, at 5:00am like they told me, I was exactly 38 weeks, I was preped and taken to the L&D to start the induction, they didn't start the medications until 1:00pm so in the meantime I was chit chatting with other ladies and reading and listening to my music, I even asked for an enema cause I was a little constipated and didn't want any accidents going on in the delivery (like something else coming out of me instead of the baby LOL) heeheheheeh

They put me on Cytotec (intravaginal pill) to start the induction, I was given 3 doses on the course of 11 hours and only dialate 1 cm!, the contractions were strong and one on top of the other but they were not doing anything on my cervix, so the doctor suggest that we shouldn't wait any longer since it was clear that I was not going to make any progress and the baby was still handling the process well, we shouldn't wait until it became an emergency situation, such as baby getting in distress or something like that, I was hesitating the procedure but I agreed for the sake of my baby (I was terrified!)

Jomer was born via c-sec at 12:09am on Saturday Feb 26th, 8lbs 1 oz and 21 1/2" long, beautiful head full of black hair, big and chubby cheeks, he was not even wrinkled! he doesn't look like a newborn at all, if I didn't see him in the OR I wouldn't believe he was mine, he is just adorable! I'm in the clouds, I can't believe my miracle of life is already in my arms (sniff), I'm in love! I find myself crying all the time just looking at him and thanking God for the precious gift I just had recieved!, seeing my husband holding our baby is just the most wonderful sight, I can't wait for all of you to experience this, is just the most beautiful thing ever.

I'm a lot better from the c-sec, that thing hurts like hell!!, I got the staples off on Sunday. We are still adjusting to the long nights :-), breastfeeding is going better, thank God for the lactation consultant! we are doing a lot better these days on that dept. he is gaining weight! and doing marvelously (he is a little eating and pooping machine) LOL
