Feb 21, 2005 @ 37w3d – I’m basically counting the hours until the 25^th to be induced and finally hold in my arms the miracle God has sent us, I’m feeling a lot of anxiety for the delivery and labor, I’m nervous, I’m uncomfortable, I can barely sleep, my hips and pelvis are killing me, but I consider myself the happiest and luckiest woman on earth right now, because I will become a mother in less than 4 days!!! I just pray that everything goes well for my baby and he has no trouble meeting us into this world.  This has been an amazing journey, I have enjoyed and cherished every second of this pregnancy even with the complications I got later on, I wouldn’t change any of it, if my prize will be my sweet baby at the end… I can’t wait to meet him J!!!

Feb 18, 2005 @ 37 wk – Today we have reached full term, which means that Jomer is fully developed and mature  and if he is born now he won’t be considered premature, this is a wonderful milestone for us! He is completely cooked!! Woooohoooo.

Feb 17, 2005 @ 36w6d - Today I went to the HR clinic and was given the great news that next week (Friday 25) I will be admitted for induction at 38 wks.  I'm beyond excitement, finally I'm going to meet my baby boy!! Please keep us in your prayers.

Feb 14, 2005 @ 36w3d - Today I said goodbye to my OB, it was a sad decition to make but I need to go to the High Risk clinic with the care of more specialized personnel, I will really miss him :-(.

Feb 11, 2005 @ 36wks - Big scare! I didn't feel Jomer moving for a long time so I rushed to the L&D ER, they hooked me up to the NST machine and we got a pretty nice heart beat and then he started moving, I was given a shot to relax me and go to sleep.  Today we are officially 9 months!! woooohoooo.

Feb 9, 2005 @ 35w5d - I went to see the Perinatologist at the High Risk clinic I've been referred to, he did a biophysical profile of the baby and it seems that he is looking good  :-) the doctor's comment was "You just have a big fat baby in there" Oh boy!

Feb 7, 2005 @ 35w3d - I was put on bedrest again due to more contractions.  My OB did the culture for the Strep B test and the first time I was checked for cervical dialation, OMG! that hurt!!

Feb 5, 2005 @ 35w1d - Got our baby's crib today and I did the first baby laundry :-)

Feb 3, 2005 @ 34w6d - I had an emergency u/s today cause my gyn is worried of the size of the baby, Jomer was measuring at 38wks (3 weeks bigger for his dates) and the aprox. weight was 7 lbs 8 oz.  I was also sent for diabetic counseling and started checking my blood sugar 4 times a day.

Jan 26, 2005 @ 33w5d this week I started to feel a lot of pelvic , hips &  low back pressure, very crappy feeling, but I’m in the homestretch only 4 more weeks to go before meeting my little man.  

Jan 21, 2005 @ 33 wks  I had an ultrasound today, my goodness, Jomer is huge!! he is already 5 lbs 13 oz (3 oz shy of 6 lbs) and he still measuring 2 wks ahead (35wks) he has long legs too!, the doctor told me that we are having a c-sec cause the risk to my health is too much considering my bp and the size of the baby, that was dissapointing cause I was so looking forward to have a vaginal delivery, now I have to cancel the birthing classes and prepare mentally for the c-sec.  So far it has being set for Feb 24, 2005.  Now the countdown begins :-)

Jan 15, 2005 @ 32w1d  Today was my Baby Shower, I was the happiest woman on this earth :-), I had soooo much fun, everything was as perfect as it could be, I got lots of gifts and almost all my guests showed up!, it was trully a wonderful day (don't forget to check out the pictures)  We also strated the birthing classes today.

Jan 12, 2005 @ 31w5d Got the results of my labs back, I failed the GTT and now another condition has being added to my pregnancy, Gestational Diabetes, that is the reason why my baby is growing so much.  Doctor says that I'm a double high risk case now, and I will be having my baby at 38 weeks cause it will be less risky for both of us.

Jan 7, 2005 @ 31 weeks to my OB for the contractions, I was hooked to the Non Stress Test machine for a while and I was ordered to be on bedrest for the rest of the week until my next appointment.

Jan 6, 2005 @ 30w6d I spend the day in a lot of pain, I didn't knew it at the time but I was having contractions, then when I realized what they were I timed them and they were 4 min apart, strong and painful, I was scare.

Dec 29, 2004 @ 29w5d I went for a regular gyn appt and I was sent to see my OB cause my blood pressure was high, my OB order to be put on a diet (low sodium and fat) and to start taking Normodyne to control my blood pressure and avoid a pre-eclampsia.  I also got a bp monitor to check my numbers 3 times a day.  I did a 24 hr urine collection test and it came back good.

Dec 13, 2004 @ 27 weeks I got an ultrasound to check why my belly is measuring bigger for my dates, my baby boy is measuring 2 weeks ahead for dates (29 wks) and he is already 3.06 lbs, he is really growing fast, now my EDD according to this measurements could be 2-28-05 (original 3-11-05)

Dec 1st, 2004 @ 25w5d I went to see my physiotherapist,  since I've been having a lot of back (sciatic nerve) pain, she told me that I was looking worse than the last time she saw me and I also have a spasm, she ordered 20 physical therapy sessions, I hope they make me feel better, this is not fun! OUCH!

Nov 29, 2004 @ 25w3d (6 months and 1 week) went to see the OB and everything was looking good, but when he measured my belly this is what he said "we have too much of a baby or too much of the mommy" LOL, I'm measuring 29 cm, that's about 1 full month ahead, I'm huge!! but I'm loving it.  Jomer is a real kicker!

Nov 8, 2004 @ 22w3d - (5 months and 2 weeks) got my Big ultrasound!!! We have a perfect little boy! I'm so happy, I was looking forward this day with so much anticipation :-), Jomer is measuring just right on target for the dates (he is even measuring one day ahead), he was very active and cute, I saw him scratching his head and opening his mouth and doing all sorts of crazy moves, we got it all on tape! such a wonderful keepsake, daddy was thrilled to see his big boy, he has long arms and legs, and he weights a little more than 1 pound already, I can't wait to have him in my arms already (see the u/s pictures), he is also kicking very stongly now.

Nov 3, 2004 @ 21w5d  - Daddy felt the baby kick for the first time! it was such a wonderful experience for both of us, I've been wanting to share this feeling with him for a long time but baby was just playing with us everytime daddy will put his hand on my belly, this time he wanted to show off and he did!

Oct 19, 2004 @ 19w4d - today is our 5th anniversary, I'm blessed to celebrate 5 years with the man that I love and being carrying the precious gift of our first child in my womb, what a better way to celebrate this day!!

Oct 14, 2004 @ 18w6d - I went to see my regular Gyn, she told me not to worry about the AFP because the positive results were due to some clinical errors, they have some of my info wrong, she order the test to be recalculated and everything came back perfect! I'm so happy for my baby :-) (if they only knew how much a mom can suffer from this stupid test) but I'm so glad that everything is ok, this will definetely make me love Jomer a whole lot more.  I also got the flu shot today.  Jomer is moving a lot, I love to feel him moving around.

Oct 7, 2004  @ 17w6d - I'm so sad today :-( my AFP test came positive for Down Syndrome,  my OB refer me to a Perinatologist for a level II ultrasound and genetic counseling.  You can only imagine all the stress that I'm dealing with right now, but I have faith in God that everything will be ok, no matter what my baby has I will love him the same.  I've been getting incredible support from my friends at Webmd & Baby Center boards.

Sept 30, 2004 @ 16w6d I did the AFP test, I'm starting to feel the baby move a lot these days, this is just the coolest feeling.

September 13, 2004 @ 14w3d - Ob/gyn visit, this time Jorge was there with me and was able to see the baby too, we didn't have a u/s schedule for this visit but I sweet talk the doctor on allowing my husband to see the baby and he agreed, to our surprise we also found out that we are expecting a BOY! it was truly a wonderful surprise, it is very early to find out the sex, I guess we were just lucky and bless to find out so soon at only 14wks 3days of gestation.  Now we are going to do the Alpha-Feto-Protein test and then another u/s at 20wks.

August 23, 2004 @ 11w3d - Ob/Gyn visit, baby was moving a lot, kicking and turning, it was a wonderful sight, the hearbeat was strong 184bpm, and the little one is looking perfect, it even had it's bladder full, I had a chance to enjoy and watch the baby for a long time in the TV mointor,  while the doctor was trying to do some measurements, it was driving the doctor crazy with all the moving around :-) and I was in awe watching my little miracle.

August 16, 2004 @ 10w3d - Last visit to the RE, progeterone check was 38.8 without meds, so I don't have to take the prog anymore, we saw the baby again and this time it was moving a lot!! baby is now a Fetus and it's looking a lot more like a little human being :-) this is so wonderful

August 14, 2004 @ 10w1d - I finally went clothes shopping and I'm wearing maternity clothes, I'm so bloated and big!! but the funny thing is that I lost 2 pounds already, so I must be full of air, LOL I'm 10w +

August 11, 2004 @ 9w5d - I got another u/s @ 9w5d this time for the first time I saw the baby move, it was a another wonderful experience.

August 2, 2004 @ 8w3d - I got my third u/s and this time I saw my miracle!!! this was the most wonderful experience in my entire life! I couldn't believe my eyes, my heart was filled with joy, it was looking so perfect, with it's tiny hands and feet, just adorable :-)  We saw the little flickering heart and the umbillical cord, this is truly a miracle of life.

July 22, 2004 @ 6w6d - I turned 30! yikes!! I wasn't too happy about it but my early birthday present made it all worth it!!!

July 15, 2004 @  5w6d - my b-hcg was 5,983 excellent number!!! it looks like we have a bean cooking in there :-)

July 12, 2004 @ 5w3d - I got another u/s this time we saw the gestational sac and the yolk sac, my progesterone was at 51, the RE prescribed  300mg of progesterone twice a day until I reach 10wks just as a precaution.

July 2, 2004 @ 4w0d - I took a home pregnancy test, I was 11dpo (days post ovulation) and the test line was very faint, but as we say "a line is a line" so that same day I went to get my b-hcg done and it came back at 35 and progesterone 45, I was 4w0d pg!!!  The RE performed an u/s to see how was my uterus and endometrio at that time, I don't know anyone who have done a u/s this early in a pg!!! we couldn't see anything :-)

June 21, 2004  I ovulated on my cycle day 18, this was the day I  conceived this miracle baby -  6 cycles of trying to conceive after loss.

June 19, 2004 was my Angel's EDD, we wrote special messages in balloons and send them to our angel in heaven, it was a wonderful and uplifting experience for both of us, I got the chance to say good bye to my little angel and my heart was at peace.

June 17, 2004 it was my cycle day 14 I went to the RE for a post coital test and a follicle check, sperm was swiming fine, I got to see them under the microscope, that was so cool!! I have 2 maturing follicles, one on each ovary so we were expecting to ovulate any time soon.

We've been together since 1999 and trying to be parents since 2000, in Sept 2003 we got pregnant and suffered a miscarriage on November 27, 2003.  We started ttc again on January 2004, but 5 months later and still no pregnancy, finally we went to see an RE and he put me on Clomid 50mg (from cycle days 5-9) and Estrogen 1mg (from cycle days 10-14)
